Vaccines matter for heart health. In my own journey with heart disease, I stay current: annual flu shot, pneumococcal vaccine as advised by my cardiologist, and the COVID-19 vaccine when eligible. I also consider Shingrix for shingles and keep up-to-date with Tdap boosters. I always check with my doctor before any vaccine.

With heart disease, vaccination has been a lifeline for me. I get the annual flu shot every fall, and I completed my pneumococcal vaccines as my cardiologist suggested. I also got the COVID-19 vaccine and the shingles vaccine. Tetanus boosters pop up every 10 years in my tracker. Check with your doctor about vaccines that fit your heart health.
